Mayan Cosmovision Weekend Fundraiser with Nana Marina Cruz

about this event

The Mayan culture contains profound ancestral knowledge that is still alive and practiced daily. The sacred calendar, tobacco, fire, and cacao are tools used by indigenous communities of Mesoamerica to be in constant communication with the elements of nature and the divine creator.

The Mayan elder Nana Marina is a healer of the Tz’utujil tradition of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Nana Marina has been sharing the Mayan traditions and knowledge with our generation, reminding us that our connection to the ancestral roots and Mother Earth can have a profound impact on our modern lives.

The intention of the weekend experience is to share the importance of keeping ancestral wisdom and sacred plants alive.

This weekend immersive offers us the opportunity to experience the ancestral knowledge so we continue to awaken our hearts and bring clarity to our lives, supporting our healing and clarify our intentions to balance our path.
