THE POWER OF PILGRIMAGE

Pilgrimage is a calling of the heart. It is full-bodied devotion to this call. It is a physical journey of surrender along the path of the sacred unknown. It is a ceremonial initiation to connect with the divine. 

The reason one is called to make a pilgrimage is beyond logic and full of mystery. It is a feeling or a knowing that there is something to be remembered and retrieved by leaving behind the physical comforts of day to day life and physically journeying to a sacred place.

There is a knowing that life will fundamentally change as a result of making the journey. By committing to the initiation that is pilgrimage, a threshold is crossed from what life has been into what life will be as a result of the journey.

To make a pilgrimage is to courageously follow the guidance of the heart.

All that takes place in this deeply spiritual journey is an initiatory process. Every dedicated step towards the physical destination is an act of devotion and an activation of transformation. 

Every aspect of the journey is a part of the sacred initiation. From the packing to the travel, to the people met along the way, to the bumps that come up along the path, to the sacred site itself. All that comes up during the ongoing journey is part of a greater spiritual process of awakening. 

Pilgrimage sites hold powerful energy that can awaken our cells and activate our DNA. Something that has been forgotten in this lifetime can be remembered by connecting with ancient sites physically.

What has been remembered within us awakens us to our divinity.

Palenque is one such place of divine remembrance.

THE POWER OF PALENQUE

Palenque is an ancient Maya pilgrimage site in Chiapas, México. It is known for its ancient temples in a jungle setting, and extraordinary waterfalls and sacred wild water.

It is a powerful place of prophecy, a place of retrieving ancient knowledge through the lens of the new. The temples of this ancient Maya civilization hold important knowledge for our modern times.

The main temple in Palenque parallels the energy of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. The mystery of the tombs found within the sacred structures hold great power for those who open their hearts to receive.

A modern day channel, José Valum Votan, received prophecies in the main temple that are intended for the evolutionary advancement of the Western world. José is known for initiating the world famous Harmonic Convergence global peace meditation, and for awakening mass consciousness to the significance of the year 2012. He’s helped to turn the world’s attention toward the Maya and their calendric system.

Different from Mayan prophecy we hear about in the mainstream world, the important information José has brought forth speaks to the urgency for Westerners to return to natural time. 

THE POWER OF COMMUNITY

Making a pilgrimage with a group of individuals who’ve all followed their hearts to the same sacred place creates a powerful field of protection and possibility.

Joining together as group of individuals with a shared intention of receiving healing, higher guidance, and transformation, the field of potential is exponential. So much more is accessible when working together with others than by going it alone. The support of sacred community opens up the portal of infinite potential when joining individual energies together to unite as one conduit for receiving divine energy. 

As a group of initiates working together, healing energy is amplified, experiences are expanded, and everything is possible.

Considering the powerful prophecies that have been received in Palenque’s ancient temples, once we step inside the sacred structures ourselves, we too have the opportunity to receive divine guidance and information that benefit our lives and the greater world.

While the calling to pilgrimage is individual, the benefits touch the lives of us all: The individual evolution and expansion of consciousness we experience on pilgrimage serves the whole and assists in the greater evolution of the collective and the planet. 

All along the pilgrimage, we support one another in our individual process. We share in the tests and trials, and in the blessings and miracles. 

In Palenque, we share heart-opening experiences together in Cacao Ceremony, in Temazcal (Mexican sweat lodge), in group meals, in explorations of hidden temples in the jungle, in purification by sacred waterfalls of the land, and of course, in initiations within the main temples themselves.

As a result of what has been shared together in this group initiation process, lifetime bonds are formed and we continue to support one another in integrating the life-changing experience after the pilgrimage is complete. 

THE HOUSE OF THE SERPENT

Nah Chan, the city where Palenque is located, means “the house of serpent.”

As humble initiates, we come to this sacred land with reverence for the power it holds to invite transformation (the medicine of the serpent) into our hearts. We make this pilgrimage to surrender ourselves to the transformation our hearts seek as individuals.

Through all we experience in this initiation process, we make this journey to open our hearts to the expanse of Love within so we may expand the presence of Love on the planet as a whole. We make this journey to shed all that holds us back from the truth of our hearts and the embodiment of Pure Love.

We make this journey to remember the Love that we truly are.

Together, we courageously step into the mouth of the serpent to surrender ourselves to divine transformation.
