Fermentation and Gut Flora Activation with Monty’s

Please join Clean Market and Lauren Montgomery, health supportive chef and founder of Monty’s, on Wednesday, May 20th at 6pm for a workshop on cooking with fermented foods. Lauren will take us through a recipe for chocolate chip cookies, using her cultured cashew ‘cheese’ as the butter. Feel free to cook along by sourcing the ingredients below, or simply sit back and watch and learn. While the cookies bake, we will chat with Lauren and have a Q&A on all things fermented foods. Don’t forget to preheat your oven to 350F before class starts! 

Ingredients Needed: 

-Almond flour 

-Baking powder

-Vanilla bean (or vanilla extract)

-Sea salt

-Monty’s plain cream cheese/butter (or an alternative cream cheese)

-Coconut oil

-Date sugar OR maple syrup
