San Juan Island Retreat: Healing + Adventure

about this event

Welcome to an adventure of incredible transformation and joyful rejuvenation. A coming together of souls on a journey back to the heart.

This estate is a custom-designed gem featuring elegant interiors, picturesque views from nearly every room and a breathtaking island setting. Situated on over 6 acres overlooking historical Westcott Bay, the Seascapes Estate is a timeless classic.

The home offers over 6,000 square feet of living space, including 7 spacious bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Outside you’ll find an incredible range of private on-site amenities, including a basketball court, disc golf course, yoga deck, two hot tubs, and a large firepit, all next to a peaceful estuary abutted by 20 acres of nature preserve that play host to native wildlife. Pick blackberries among the dragonflies and revel in the beauty of visits from blue herons, foxes, deer– maybe even a bald eagle or two.

Once inside, you’ll find 11 foot ceilings and a stately woodburning fireplace complete with an old growth log mantle. The open-concept living, dining and kitchen area features stunning water views through floor-to-ceiling windows and doors.

Within a mile of the Estate are the Westcott Bay Sculpture Park and Roche Harbor Resort and Marina. There are miles of hiking trails nearby for those who want to enjoy the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest during free time. There will also be options for kayaking, whale watching tours, SUP, in-town shopping and other local experiences (ex: visiting the lavender farm, alpaca farm, farmers market, state parks, unique monuments, etc).

This property has solid cell phone reception and wifi. (We gently invite guests to try an ‘electronics detox’ during the retreat, but if you need to stay in touch, you can.)

Meet Jen (Co-creator)

Jennifer Baute operates as a healer, story interpreter and self-mastery guide for clients who want to live their full potential on every plane. Drawing on studies in Jungian psychology, transformative breathwork, human design and yoga, Jennifer’s aim with every client is to encourage spiritual, emotional, mental and physical integration.

It’s Jennifer’s belief that we can all heal trauma and shift in positive new directions by honestly exploring the narratives we’ve created about ourselves, and rewriting according to our present desires and value systems. Whether through a curated Q&A, a guided breathwork session or a deep dive into one’s human design, Jennifer tailors her skill set to each client to achieve lasting results.

Blending somatic modalities, long-revered spiritual practices and logic-driven exercises, Jennifer’s unique multi-faceted approach goes beyond traditional therapy by addressing that ineffable but crucial inner compass we all seek to understand: the soul.

Travel

When flying from Los Angeles: Depart LAX or Burbank and fly into SeaTac Airport (Seattle WA). Once at SeaTac, there are 2 options to get to San Juan Island.

Option 1: Catch a short cab ride from SeaTac Airport (signs will direct you to the taxi line) to Kenmore Airlines. If you’d like to fly in a regular small plane, you’ll book a direct flight to Friday Harbor from their Boeing Field location. If you’d like to fly in a seaplane and land on the water, you’ll book a direct flight to Friday Harbor Marina or Roche Harbor Marina from their Lake Union location (Roche Harbor Marina is closest to the retreat estate).

This flight takes about 30 minutes. The cost of a round-trip ticket for either option generally lands in the $400-$500 zone, depending on how far in advance you book.

Option 2: Exit SeaTac Airport and get in line for the Shuttle Service to Anacortes Ferry Terminal (reserve advance tickets in the time slot of your choosing by clicking the link above). The drive takes 2.5+ hours and the cost of one round-trip ticket is $102. Once you’ve been dropped off at the Ferry Terminal, you’ll board the ferry and enjoy a 1 to 1.5 hour ferry ride to Friday Harbor. The Ferry schedule can be found here; book the Anacortes to Friday Harbor route: https://wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetailbyroute.aspx?route=ana-sj-sid

Reserve your ticket in advance for maximum ease. Cost of a walk-on ticket is $14.85 (one way). Should you choose to rent a car, tickets to drive a vehicle onto the ferry start at $57.90 and raise incrementally depending on vehicle size.

Once you’ve booked your travel, let us know your arrival time on San Juan Island and we’ll assist in arranging car pick-up + drop-off at the estate. If we are unable to pick you up ourselves, we’ll refer you to the local cab service.
