Welcome!
In this Introduction to Miki, you will learn the history, philosophy, and recipe of Miki, immersing yourself in the world of Miki over the next 1-2 months. The course consists of three days to meet in person (Day 1) and virtually (Day 2 & 3). After Day 2, you will have approximately 1 month to practice, digest, and reflect until we get together on Day 3. By the end of the course, you will feel grounded, empowered, and confident to make your own Miki and apply to your day to day life.
What is Miki?
A traditional plant-based probiotic drink with probiotics and energies passed down for over 2000 years through generations in Amami Oshima, Japan, an island and people best known for long life expectancy and abundant nature. a traditional fermented drink from Amami Island, Japan.
Miki was originally an offering of sake to God, made solely by Noro, the priestesses who conducted all matters of rituals during the Ryukyu dynasty in the 15th century.
Made with rice, sweet potatoes and water, 1 cc of Miki contains 100 million or more probiotics (1 teaspoon of Miki contains approximately 500 million or more probiotics).
