Ever wonder what life is like as a professional medium and psychic? As a medium for over twenty-five years, I’ve heard and seen things inside and outside of my working hours that are nothing short of extraordinary, amazing, and awe-inspiring. In this class, we’ll go behind the scenes with stories from my work from private sittings, gallery demonstrations, psychic fairs, radio shows, and paranormal investigation, then students will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers and share stories from their own experiences with the spirit world. Together we’ll discover, much as Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet, that “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

Dr. Rom Weber is an international psychic medium based in the New York Metropolitan Area. Celebrating over 25 years of work serving spirit, she has appeared on television and radio, and has worked with clients from all over the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Canada, Russia, Brazil, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, China, Japan, Australia, and the Philippines. She is trained in both American and British styles of mediumship. Dr. Rom’s primary interests are in uniting loved ones in the here and hereafter, providing evidence for the continuity of the spirit, and helping people develop their own spirituality and mediumistic potential. As a medium, her approach is warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth. She also has a special place in her heart and practice for parents who have survived the loss of a child. This said, Dr. Rom’s clientele includes a wide range of people, from those who are simply curious about these topics, to those seeking readings, spiritual connections, and personal growth. Dr. Rom is also a proud member of the LGBTQI community and welcomes clients from all walks of life.

Currently, Dr. Rom works in many capacities. She conducts private sessions for clients and groups of all sizes, lectures, demonstrates, teaches development courses, and has recently worked on a cruise ship! She is also writing a book exploring the challenges of mediumship, and has served on the platform at Lily Dale, New York, where she demonstrates her specialty of evidential mediumship to gallery-style audiences. Dr. Rom continues to work with her local, national, and international clients via Zoom and phone, and is available for in-person appointments in her Manhattan office.

Like many mediums, Dr. Rom experienced various psychic events during the course of her childhood, teen years, and adulthood. She was especially sensitive to impressions from objects (psychometry) and gifted with an unusually strong sense of empathy. However, before she discovered her mediumship abilities, Dr. Rom first pursued an academic career utilizing another healing gift, her ability to help people feel comfortable discussing their sexual concerns, and completed her training by earning a Ph.D. and becoming a board-certified sex therapist, much in the style of Masters and Johnson. Soon thereafter, and encouraged by family and friends, Dr. Rom began a process of psychic and spiritual development that quickly unfolded her gift of mediumship. Since that time she has trained with the late Karen Lundegaard, Ph.D., in Berkeley, California, with Sharon Klingler in the United States, and at the Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, England, with Simone Key, Janet Parker, Eileen Davies, the late Nora Shaw, and the late Glyn Edwards. Dr. Rom has a commitment to continuing mediumistic education so as to become the clearest possible conduit for spirit, and for love.

Dr. Rom resides in the New York area and when she’s not doing mediumship and psychic work enjoys travel, dinner parties, mixology, and kickboxing. She’s also actively involved in cat and kitten rescue and fostering. In addition, Dr. Rom is a member of New York’s Here to Sing rock choir, where she regularly performs as a Soprano 1. Over the last ten years she’s been involved with several vocal groups and is grateful for the opportunities to have sung backup for The Canadian Tenors, and for the post-Broadway tour of Rocktopia.
