Location and Lodging

Enter a sacred retreat within our private villa located just outside of the bustle of Tulum, Mexico, where luxurious boutique accomodations provide a sanctuary space. Only 12 guests will be joining us for an intimate and immersive journey. Note: The location on the following map is not accurate. Our location will be at Hacienda Babylon, just south of Tulum, roughly 10 min from the ocean.

Meet Your Guides

Angela Cruz is a descendant of Visayan and Gaddang lineages of the Philippines. She is a seer, traditional healer, reiki master, holistic coach, reproductive birth justice advocate, drummer, and mother of four, born into a lineage of spirit mediums. Her practice of 20+ years has been greatly informed by trainings, experiences, and traditional cultural initiations. She is an initiated Spirit Medium in the tradition of the Shona people of Zimbabwe and an initiated Priest in the Afro-Cuban traditions of Palo Monte and Lucumi. Angela has been trained and certified as a doula under the late Medrakanoeonapua, a beloved traditional midwife of Hawaii, and as a Full Spectrum Indigenous Doula through Zaagi’idiwin. She is the CEO and co-founder of Ndoro Healing Arts.

Benjamin Sands is an initiated Spirit Medium in the tradition of the Shona people of Zimbabwe and an initiated priest in the Afro-Cuban traditions of Lucumi and Palo Monte.He is passionate about sharing music and ceremonies as powerful tools for healing, spiritual growth, and fulfillment. His work and offerings are founded on the belief that the ancient practices of honoring and connecting with our ancestors hold keys to discovering and aligning with one’s life purpose. In addition to co-founding Ndoro Healing Arts, he is a father, author, diviner, multi-instrumentalist, and recording artist.

In preparing to gather in Tulum, Mexico, (located on the Caribbean coast of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, in the state of Quintana Roo, within the region known as the Riviera Maya) we, as visitors, understand that we come from many different tribes and peoples. As such, we honor and acknowledge the Maya and their relations, the indigenous peoples of the Yucatan, the ancestors and spirits of these sacred lands, and offer our deepest gratitude and reverence. For all of the medicine carriers, the sacred warriors, the holy ones, the water bearers, wisdomkeepers, and all others who have been in right relation to these lands, those of the past, those of the present, and those still yet to come, we are grateful for you, and the opportunity to be in sacred reciprocity with you.

We also honor and acknowledge the elevated and benevolent ancestors of our bloodlineages, as well as our elders from the Bantu, Lucumi, Palo, and Espiritismo lineages who have passed their wisdom on to us. We acknowledge that, as visitors, we may not understand the nuances and self-determined names by which the indigenous people of Tulum now refer to themselves. We use the name Maya with utmost respect.
