Designed specifically for doulas, birthworkers, and caregivers, this intimate in-person workshop with Latham Thomas introduces the foundational principles of herbalism through a lens of nourishment, grounding, and care. This class centers the unique emotional, physical, and energetic demands of support work—and offers plant-based tools to care for yourself first- as well as the families you serve. Learn to lean on plants to support your nervous system.
Through hands-on practice and guided demonstrations, students will learn to create a small collection of beginner-friendly herbal preparations—such as calming teas, restorative bath blends, nourishing infused oils, or gentle salves—made with herbs traditionally used to support stress relief, rest, resilience, and tender postpartum care.
Latham weaves botanical wisdom with the practical realities of birthwork and caregiving, emphasizing safe, accessible, and trauma-informed herbal practices. Participants will gain clarity on how to incorporate herbs into personal rituals, client support, and daily wellness—always within the scope of their role.
🌿You will leave with:
- A beginner’s understanding of plant energetics and common supportive herbs
- Tools to replenish your own nervous system
