The Write Moves is a live online workshop that combines free movement and writing time to generate creative writing and creative practice.
It incorporates mini-dance parties & inviting writing prompts to support creative habits, unblock ideas and feelings, pursue joy, and take respite from the everyday.
Each session includes opportunities to dance freely, to write with abandon, and to collaborate and share with fellow participants.
The Write Moves is a workshop designed for:
- Creative Unblocking
- Memoir, Creative Nonfiction, Fiction, Poetry & Hybrid Writers
- Journalers & Dreamers
- Breathing, Stretching & Shimmying
- Building Creative Practice
- Finding the side door to your important, difficult, and untold stories
Participants call The Write Moves a “quarantine antidote,” “opportunity for chance encounters,” and a “bonbon of unexpected delight!” In addition to the joy spun from exploring movement (at your own level) to songs like this, participants say they write a lot and leave with a “sense of community” and welcome “vulnerability” they didn’t have when they arrived.
