Summer Solstice Yoga Mala: 108 Salutations + Soundbath

about this event

Join us for a special event to celebrate the Summer Solstice with a Yoga Mala: 108 Sun Salutations! 📿

What is a yoga mala? A yoga mala is a 108 sun salutation practice. The practice is divided into sections (so you get breaks!) with guided intention setting woven throughout. I’ll lead you through the practice, and do the counting, which allows you to experience the meditative effects of the practice.

Modifications for sun salutations will be offered, you don’t need to do 108 chaturangas to feel the benefits of this practice. Lillian will guide you through how to protect your body, offer modifications and guide the group through breaks to meditate, journal and process the experience.

BONUS: After the salutations let the meditative effects of the practice seep in as we experience a soundbath under the sun!

When: On the summer solstice! Saturday, June 21st @ 10am. The practice usually lasts between 60-90 minutes, depending on the pace of the group.

Where: In the sunshine at Griffith park! We’ll meet at Mineral Wells Picnice Area – exact location details will be sent upon signing up.

What to bring: YOU, a yoga mat, some water, journal, blanket/snacks & other cozy things if you want to hang in the park and soak in the good vibes after. Feel free to invite anyone else who may be interested!

Energy Exchange: Sliding scale $25-$55 Venmo/zelle is apprecated (@Lillian-Jacobs)
