An Evening Composed in Three Movements
Tea, sound, and champagne beneath the evening sky.
August 20th | 6:00–8:30pm | Magic Hour Tea Salon, Ojai$75 Early Bird · $85 After August 5th · Limited to 30 Guests
There is a rhythm to a night well spent, and this one is composed like a piece of music: three movements, each a different register of presence.
We begin with tea. Zhena Muzyka, Magic Hour’s founder, will lead the ceremony herself, drawing on more than thirty years as a master tea blender, herbalist, aromatherapist, and tea ceremony teacher. A pioneer of the fair-trade movement in American tea and the author of Life by the Cup, Zhena has guided tea ceremonies at retreats and resorts including the Four Seasons, Canyon Ranch, and the Ritz-Carlton. This evening, that same ritual comes home to Ojai, and you’re invited to sit with her directly.
From there, the evening softens into sound. Kyle Lam leads a 90-minute sound bath on the open grass beneath the stars, an invitation to lay down, breathe, and let the vibration do its quiet work. It’s a rare kind of rest, the sort that asks nothing of you but presence.
And as the night settles, we close with champagne. A toast beneath the sky, a moment to linger with the friends and strangers who shared the evening with you.
For those who’d like to arrive early, optional shopping and small bites open the evening from 5 to 6pm, a chance to browse and settle in before the ceremony begins.
