In partnership with the Pomona Unified School district Lopez Urban Farm is a community-based collaboration between local community groups, organizations, businesses, universities, teachers, students, and community members that came together to create a working urban farm using a 3-acre lot in Pomona, California. As a community food hub and education space, Lopez Urban Farm serves the children and families in Pomona’s District 2 by fostering greater access to clean food and providing nutrition and environmental education to all.
The Farm is an urban agriculture project of the 501(c)(3) Community Partners 4 Innovation (CP4I) which was founded in 2014 by community members with a desire to develop partnerships and connections to promote greater wholeness, sustainability, and empowerment in South Pomona. The organization’s core values are Transform, Restore, Empower and Be Well.
