Indigenous Fashion Forever

about this event

What does a career in fashion really look like?

It’s so much more than becoming a designer.

The Indigenous Futures in Fashion Summit is a one-day experience for Indigenous high school students to explore the many creative and career opportunities within the fashion industry. Through inspiring speakers, interactive conversations, and hands-on networking, you’ll meet Indigenous designers, entrepreneurs, artists, business leaders, and current Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) students who are building exciting careers while staying connected to their culture and communities.

Throughout the day, you’ll discover careers in fashion design, marketing, business, photography, film, styling, merchandising, textiles, sustainability, technology, entrepreneurship, and more. You’ll also have the chance to ask honest questions about college life, moving away from home, scholarships, living in New York City, and what it’s really like to attend FIT.

Whether you already dream of working in fashion or you’re just beginning to explore your future, this summit is designed to help you discover new possibilities, connect with mentors, and see that there is a place for Indigenous voices in every part of the fashion industry.

Come ready to be inspired, ask questions, make connections, and imagine what’s possible. Your future starts here.
