Enter the New Year in Presence

about this event

A live, guided online gathering designed to support reflection, grounding, and intention at the start of the year. Through wisdom reflections, breathwork, meditation, and music, we create space to arrive fully, cultivate compassion, and reconnect with what matters most.

Entering the New Year with Presence

Opening Grounding & Wisdom Reflection

We begin with a brief introduction, followed by a wisdom talk and reflection to gently bring us into presence and establish a shared intention for the session. The beginning of a new year invites us into conscious reflection. Before setting goals or making resolutions, we pause to ask a deeper question: How do I want to live, and from what inner state do my actions arise?

Settling the Body & Breath

To support a sense of safety and arrival, we move into a grounding practice followed by guided breathwork, allowing the nervous system to calm and awareness to anchor in the body. Approximately 20 minutes, followed by a short reflection break.

Guided by: Mychal Prieto is a certified StrongFirst instructor (SFG), 200-hour Holistic Yoga Flow teacher, CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Vishoka meditation practitioner, and breathwork facilitator. He has worked as a personal trainer and yoga instructor for Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Banks, and others, and has collaborated with organizations including Open, Inner Dimension TV, and Manduka.

Music-Enhanced Heart Meditation

A live, voice-guided meditation accompanied by classical music, focused on cultivating love and compassion. This practice concludes with a merit dedication—offering the benefits of our meditation for the well-being of ourselves, others, and the world. Approximately 20 minutes.

Guided by: Jamar Spicer is a former Buddhist monk, certified Energy Healer, and meditation practitioner. He has over 20 years of dedicated meditation practice, having studied with renowned meditation masters, and more than a decade of experience in Energy Healing, working with natural energy to support healing, awareness, and personal growth.Closing

Reflection & Integration

We end with a short period of quiet reflection, allowing the experience to settle and integrate, and supporting the carryover of presence and intention into daily life.
