Restorative yoga retreat Hawaii

Deep Rest: A Retreat Devoted to Regeneration

about this event

Deep Rest is a retreat devoted to unwinding.

A mixture of asana and yoga nidra, individual and group exploration of our deepest habits around rest are designed for illumination and rejuvenation.

Come to sunny Kapoho and stay at an off grid tropical fruit sanctuary that has been tending to the Big Island’s spiritual and musical community for decades.

If you want an environment free of EMFs (no phone lines for 7 miles) and full of outdoor showers where the jungle foliage reveals the sun and stars, this could be your perfect environment to practice letting go.

Mornings begin with a deep and slow asana practice followed by guided group meditation.

After a fresh and delicious tropical breakfast, we will have a break and then reconvene for our morning session, where we will use the mindbody connection, guided visualization and journaling to explore our deepest habits around rest, the necessary counterpart to action. We will practice releasing the habits that only serve to undermine us through exhaustion.

Afternoon activities include walks and hikes to different beaches and swimming holes.

Evening session is completely optional and will be a short yoga nidra session to prepare the body for deep sleep.

On March 8th in the evening, we will get to soak in the magic of a sound bath by Halani, a Native Hawaiian, that calls on the elements .

Energy returns naturally in the wake of rest. Come here to fill your cup.

Go home feeling the hum of your own calm.

Bring the gifts of self-knowledge to continue to find and create peace and ease in daily life.
