Calm Sleep Shining Sea – Qi self-massage for nourishing and revitalizing sleep
In this class we will learn to prepare the entire body for deep and restorative sleep through the practice of qi self-massage: a 40-minute self-massage sequence that nurtures, invigorates and detoxifies the body.
We will begin by learning to sensitize and energize the hands, tuning our instruments of perceptive touch, before using them to release tension from head to toe! Participants will learn the Taoist techniques of stretching, massaging and tapping the major yin and yang meridians.
This technique is easily accessible to anyone and no prior experience with body work is necessary. When engaged regularly this practice boosts the immune system, promotes a youthful glow and activates a loving disposition towards life. This class will empower you with the tools to improve the quality and depth of both your sense of touch and your sleep! A beautiful and highly pleasurable pre-bed ritual that will send you blissed, relaxed and shining into the dream realm.
How to Prepare:
- Please bring a yoga mat
- Dress in comfortable, non-restrictive clothing
- Refrain from eating anything too heavy 1 – 2 hours prior
