The Daily routine is the heart of the foundation for optimal health and well being according to Ayurveda. It helps us live in harmony and sync with the rhythms of Nature . The daily regime includes exercises, cleansing rituals, meals and sleep.

Ayurveda, also known as the sister of Yoga is one of the oldest systems of traditional medicine in the world with a known history of more than 5000 years. Ayurveda gives great importance to the role of diet, nutrition and lifestyle as pillars of good health and well being.

Ayurvedic philosophy and thought process is deeply related to the understanding of the five elements ie Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether and the way their interdependent relationship works to create both ease or disease .

Ayurveda treatises describe three elemental doṣas viz. Vāta ( Air), Pitta ( Fire ) and Kapha (Water) and states that balance of the doṣas results in health, while imbalances results in disease. When Vata is in balance, it gives a person liveliness, imagination and creativity. The imbalance in Vata gives insomnia, anxiety, dry skin and dry hair etc. When Pitta is functioning in balance , a person is disciplined, intelligent, a good leader and has great foresight. When Pitta is imbalanced, a person tends to be compulsive , irritable and may suffer from skin rashes, heat related problems, sour body odor , loose stools etc. When Kapha is balanced a person is caring, supportive and stable but when Kapha is out of balance, a person may experience sluggishness, weight gain, and sinus congestion.
