Lapis Spa

Lapis Spa in Fontainebleau Las Vegas is my dream spa. I might even go as far to say it’s my favorite spa in North America. At over 55,000sq ft and with 44 treatment rooms, it’s certainly one of the biggest.

To me, it’s the perfect blend of a luxurious Western Spa and a Korean Spa. The soaking tubs and steam rooms in each change room are clothing-optional, like in a Korean Spa. And the co-ed area is vast with many rooms & amenities to enjoy, including a snow shower, gravity chairs, hot tubs with an air bar, a 360-degree sauna, a salt room, and more (you’ll need a swimsuit or the provided robe to enjoy these). Except, unlike a typical Korean Spa, the television in the sauna is playing gorgeous digital art, not Korean soap operas. And every detail is refined and designed with a modern sensibility.

My boyfriend and I each enjoyed our massages, which is impressive given he likes his extra strong, and I want to feel like the masseuse is also a Reiki master.

The beautiful, cosmic-looking space was designed by Lissoni & Partners, who are the same designers of Resorts World’s far inferior Awana Spa, which makes me wonder if Awana was a rough sketch for Lapis, because from my one visit there, Lapis is perfection.
