Grief Gathering: Cake Edition

about this event

Join Marigolde, Saturday November 17th from 10:30 am-12:30 pm for an intimate gathering over delicious pastries, warm drinks, and soulfoul company for some reflective journaling, sharing and eating. These are our favorite activities as we build community while navigating grief. Gather around the table with new friends, lets share, laugh, maybe shed some tears and revel in what it means to be human, to love and to grieve. What better way than to do it over a pastry brunch? The morning is hosted by co-founders Roshni Kavate and Rebecca Servoss of Marigolde.

Marigolde is a grief wellness platform co-founded by nurses, artists and food lovers Roshni Kavate and Rebecca Servoss, we are on a mission to make the world a grief inclusive place where we can be our wild, vibrant selves. We are coming to Los Angeles to celebrate the launch of our podcast Mango and Gnocchi: What is you grief craving? and the companion Frief and Food Journal!

Sharing food is a language of love. It’s how we celebrate and how we grieve. We want to highlight the power of our collective food stories to nurture us, bring us joy, and take us out of our minds and into our hearts. During our time together we will spend time journaling, reflecting on what we are grieving, what we are grateful for, what stories we are holding in our bodies and how we want to care for ourselves and loved ones. We also have time to share our stories, food memories and hear from others.
