The Threshold Ritual — International Elemental Soma Month Opening Ceremony

about this event

Cross the Threshold. Enter the Month.

International Elemental Soma Month begins not with a goal, but with a pause.

The Threshold Ritual is the opening ceremony of IESM, inviting participants to consciously cross from ordinary time into ceremonial time. Through candlelight, guided meditation, breath, and quiet reflection, we gather to begin the month with presence rather than pressure, curiosity rather than expectation.

There is no intention to manifest, optimize, or become someone different.

Instead, this ceremony offers a simple invitation:

To arrive.

Together we will light the ceremonial flame that will accompany the month, acknowledge the beginning of this shared observance, and gently enter the House of Remembrance — this year’s ceremonial theme for International Elemental Soma Month.

During this ceremony you will experience:

• A welcoming invocation

• Gentle breath awareness

• Guided arrival meditation

• The Threshold Ritual candle ceremony

• A Question of Remembrance for the month ahead

• A closing blessing

Please Have Nearby

• Any candle or LED candle (optional)

No previous experience with meditation, Reiki, or ritual is required.

This complimentary ceremony is open to all.

May this threshold be crossed gently.

May the month be lived slowly.

May remembrance begin.

With elemental grace,

Terra

THE HOUSE OF REMEMBRANCE

A Ceremonial Journey of Embodied Remembrance

Where Ritual Becomes Lived Experience, and the Body Remembers Itself as Home

International Elemental Soma Month (IESM) is a complimentary seasonal observance devoted to embodiment, coherence, and remembrance.

Held each August, IESM invites a slowing — a return to relationship with the elemental intelligence of the body through ritual, reflection, sensory awareness, and presence.

Rather than asking what must be achieved, improved, or transformed, this observance asks a quieter question:

What becomes possible when the body is met with attention?

Throughout the month, participants are invited to engage simple rituals of touch, breath, water, stillness, and embodiment through the House of Remembrance — the ceremonial theme for the inaugural observance.

The month holds four weekly rituals, and is anchored by three ceremonies:

• The Threshold Ritual — Opening Ceremony for International Elemental Soma Month

• Skin Ritual | FieldBody — Week 1: A Ritual of Contact, Boundary, and Presence

• The Aether Pause — A Ritual of Collective Coherence (International Elemental Soma Day | 8.8)

• Water Ritual | WaterBody — Week 2: A Ritual of Receiving and Internal Nourishment

• Scent Ritual | BreathBody — Week 3: A Ritual of Breath, Circulation, Subtle Movement

• Body Ritual | EarthBody — Week 4: A Ritual of Grounding and Embodiment

• The Remembrance Ritual — Closing Ceremony for International Elemental Soma Month

Participation is open to all.

There is nothing to complete, nothing to perfect, and nothing to prove.

Presence is enough.
