A plant-based dessert & wine bar helmed by Chef Lady Ashton Warren, The Fragile Flour is an adorable 12-seat space perfect as a pre-game for a night out, or as a post-dinner wind-down.
Chef Lady Ashton Warren was a burlesque dancer who fell into being one of the city’s most popular pastry chefs during lockdown, so expect some of the theatrical in her 4-tier cakes and cream-filled muffins. Same with the decor, which includes a rose gold disco ball and a creative use of an otherwise uninspiring pre-war East Village building.
Recommendations include the Mexican Hot Chocolate Cupcake, the chocolate cake, and the brownie (clearly, I’m partial to chocolate).
