Crystal Moon Sound Meditation with Heather Donavon

about this event

Please join us on Monday, March 25th, from 7pm-8:30pm at our Venice apothecary for a Crystal Moon Voice and Sound Meditation Performance with Anima Mundi’s Butterfly Pea and Lavender tea to follow, curated especially for this evening.

Immerse yourself in the serene sounds of crystal alchemy singing bowls infused with gemstones and minerals, along with Heather’s voice, as you unwind and release stress. This in-person event offers a unique opportunity to experience the healing power of music and voice, followed by Anima Mundi’s signature tea.  Allow the harmonious vibrations to wash over you, melting away tension and rejuvenating your mind and body. Take this time to reconnect with your sense of inner peace and tranquility.

Note: Guests are welcome to lie down during the sound experience where space allows. Please bring your yoga mats, blankets, and a journal for setting your intention. Also recommended would be an eye mask/pillow and perhaps some unique crystals or stones to charge.

Heather Donavon is a Sound Therapy Artist who integrates the healing aspects of crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, and other sonically soothing instruments along with her calming singing voice to create healing. These meditative soundscape performances foster deep relaxation and restoration. Also, as a mental health advocate, she believes in doing what she can to bring relief from anxiety, depression, and mental health issues of all kinds.

She is well known as a session singer and live performer (Melody Gardot, Keb’Mo’, Ben Harper) and is one half of the musical group Love Me in the Dark.

Over the past decade, Heather has been exploring different forms of mental health therapies, the social-emotional arts, mindfulness, and spirituality, a mental wellness journey that has taken her from yoga to transcendental meditation, painting, writing, teaching, music, and eventually to singing bowls. The high-quality bowls she uses, known as “crystal alchemy singing bowls,” are infused with gemstones and tuned to her specifications to interact with each other musically. She adds her voice to the mixture and improvises, weaving melodies and harmonies into the chordal structures while transporting the listener. She creates spaces for different-sized groups and rooms, sessions, circles, and ceremonies, combining her musical arts passion with her advocacy for mental wellness to help individuals and groups heal.

Heather lives in West Los Angeles with her partner and seven-year-old son. Together, they own McCormick Audio, a state-of-the-art recording studio, where they also create sound healing recordings and cinematic music for various projects.
