Hidden Treasures is quintessentially Topanga. It fully embodies the quirk, character, charm and COLOR that has since been updated by the linen and all natural color palette trend that you see in other stores in the neighborhood.
Hidden Treasures is both vintage and wonderland, as founder Darrell’s perpetual love for collecting is also evident in the store. From Indiana Jones, his favorite movie, to Pirates of the Caribbean, his favorite Disneyland ride, Darrell is always on the lookout for treasures from the past that exude character and charm.
When you drive up Topanga Canyon Blvd, you can’t miss this structure. Built in the 1930s, it once housed various restaurants, including the famous rock star hangout, The Discovery Inn. After big rock shows at The Corral, renowned bands like Steppenwolf and Canned Heat would retreat to this exceptional spot. Even in the 1800s, stagecoaches used to stop in front of the store, further emphasizing its historical significance. We’re glad that this spot still exists and hope it never gets washed away in gentrification, our bet is there are too many fans and OG Topangites to ever let that happen.
