I want to magnify the findings of amazing scientific research in the news about how storytelling affects people. Tara Parker-Pope in The New York Times wrote, “Studies have shown that writing about oneself and personal experiences can improve mood disorders, help reduce symptoms among cancer patients, improve a person’s health after a heart attack, reduce doctor visits and even boost memory.” It turns out this magical health elixir can be practiced with simple paper and a pencil.
