The NUSHU Thought Leader Series is a webinar series hosted by NUSHU founder Vanessa Cornell. It was born out of a desire to offer connection and support during a challenging time through inspiring conversations.
At NUSHU, we spend a lot of time understanding the self-limiting beliefs, social conditioning and internal obstacles that stifle a woman’s ability to step fully into her power. Being a woman is challenging, but so is being a man.
We’re excited to welcome Connor Beaton, a leading men’s work facilitator and philosopher, to the NUSHU Thought Leader Series for an honest conversation on the expectations, pressures and limiting beliefs involved with being a man.
Connor is a NY-based coach, teacher, and speaker who helps men (and women) from all over the world walk though their darkness and grow in the realms of mental clarity and relational communication, actualizing their potential and sexual intimacy. He is the founder of Mantalks, a men’s personal growth brand that is dedicated to creating better men. Using the Mantalks Podcast and his online men’s community, Connor influences thousands of men to do their inner work to be better fathers, husbands, and brothers to each other.
In this webinar, we’ll discuss taboos of the masculine and what Connor calls the most dangerous rule of being a man: If you’re struggling, don’t talk about it. What does toxic masculinity look like, and conversely, how does the divine masculine show up?
We all hold feminine and masculine energy, no matter how we identify along the lines of gender and sexuality. How can understanding the masculine help us to partner better, understand our partner better, and show up in the world embracing who we are fully without needing to deny any part of ourselves?
