Learn how to custom blend essential oils and create best-selling natural perfumes, signature blends for soaps, candles and indie beauty bath and body products. This course is much more than a perfume making class, it is an intensive blending experience and also a chance for students to experience a wide variety of essential oils. Come learn to intuitively blend without any rules, only following your inner guidance and your nose. You’ll also explore creating intention blends, encoding memories of feelings, places or people. In our July workshop we had students who chose to commemorate a loved one, another chose to replicate the feeling of hiking in a forest, and another student created a blend to help inspire creativity in others. Why and what you blend in this class is completely up to you.
This is a workshop on how to design your own unique blends of essential oils and natural fragrances to for candles, soaps, perfumes and other indie beauty products. You’ll learn blending techniques from master essential oil alchemist and owner of Back Porch Soap Company, Marla Bosworth. Marla will share 24 years of experience in this workshop to guide you in blending essential oils and natural fragrances to create signature blends.
Marla will share what she’s learned during her years of blending essential oils and incorporating them into soaps and beauty products. Then she will guide you through your very own, custom, essential oil blending creations in class. Custom, natural fragrance blends can increase sales for your products. If customers fall in love with your essential oil blends it will bring them back to you for more. We know they can purchase body butters, candles or soaps from a plethora of other companies, but if we have a scent blend that is unique and appealing, challenging to replicate or even energetically encoded, customers will navigate toward buying it.
This is a hands-on class where students will blend and experiment with essential oils. You will create two signature essential oil blends. Students will experience how to intuitively combine essential oils to use as roll-on, solid and spray perfumes, colognes, as well as in candles, soaps, bodycare and haircare products and other scented products.
This class is intended for essential oil enthusiasts, soapmakers, candlemakers, indie beauty entrepreneurs, and anyone interested in creating their own fragrance. No prior experience is needed.
