Invoking the Goddess Sekhmet

about this event

On Thursday, December 22 at 7pm EST, join us on zoom for a Winter Solstice celebration, ceremony, and offering to Sekhmet, the lion-headed goddess. She is the sponsor and patron deity to healers, so this connection is especially apropos if you are a healer in any aspect of your life.

Known for her fierce discernment, Sekhmet comes into our lives only when we can hold the compassion and power that is her/our spiritual nature. Through ritual, visualization, and meditation we come closer to her presence, humbly positioning ourselves to meet her magnificence.

All are welcome to attend. If you feel drawn to this ceremony, consider it an invitation directly from Sekhmet.

Courtney Cooke is a long-time devotee and student of Sekhmet. She will lead us in a meditation to meet the lion-headed goddess. Through this process we will invoke the spirit and teaching of Sekhmet, calling for personal, communal, and global healing and blessing.

According to the Iranian tradition of Shabeh Yaldah, Neelou Malekpour will lead a pomegranate ritual connecting us to the magic of the solstice, celebrating the triumph of light over darkness.

PLEASE BRING A POMEGRANATE IF YOU FEEL CALLED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RITUAL

Best Practices:

Please keep your meals light and don’t arrive with a full belly.

Also, please give yourself a little space after this session. It’s best not to have to rush, drive, or be around a lot of people in the hours following this connection. We suggest you take it easy for the remainder of the evening if possible.

**THIS IS A DIGITAL PRACTICE SO ALL ARE WELCOME FROM ALL COUNTRIES – IF YOU ARE HAVING A TECH ISSUE BECAUSE THE SYSTEM REQUIRES AN ADDRESS PLEASE CONTACT ASSISTANT@SMUDGED.CO (NOT .COM) AND WE WILL ADDRESS IT. THANK YOU!**
