If you Google the most common addictions, you’ll probably find alcohol, drugs, and gambling at the top of the list. However, what hides below the radar is our global and collective addiction to thinking. In fact, thinking is such a common addiction and has been normalized to such a degree that we do not see it as an addiction! But we all know how hard it can be to manage our thoughts—especially the negative ones—how loud and repetitive they can become, and how disruptive to our well-being.

We know we can’t stop our thoughts, but we can better understand different layers and functions of thinking, and manage or command our thoughts more often and more effectively. But how?
