‘Celtic Escape’ in Wales, UK w/ Nordic Sisters

about this event

/ˈnɔːdɪk ˈsɪstəs/

Nordic roots and Viking like spirit brought these sisters together. The spirit of: fighting for what’s in your heart, to follow your heart and to flow from it. With similar background in the performance and movement world Josie and Ida wanted to create a space and find a place where they could help others to connect and express their own inner Viking – to find the essence of inner power.

Plug out from the matrix and plug in to yourself. Immerse yourself in the powerful duality of yin and yang yoga practise by the Nordic Sisters Ida & Josie. Held in the beauty and rawness of Nature we will allow for an opening and softening to occur. All. By. Itself.

Escape with us to the magical Pembrokeshire in Wales. To a place of restoration, reconnection and relaxation.

Discover the magic of Lawrenny and its surrounding area. Enjoy a restorative short break, surrounded by hundreds of acres of ancient woodland and secret water ways. Oh and that we mention WILD SWIMMING, YOGA, HOT TUB, SHAMANIC & INTUITIVE HEALING???

Come away with us where dreams are made and time is never ending. We here present to you our retreat uniquely created and curated to bring YOU back to YOU.

And for good measure we are GIFTING you an extra night FREE of charge if you want to stay on and enjoy the beauty of the landscape this means you could be there from the 16-20th April!!!

Retreat is located at Upper walled garden of Lawrenny Park. The old castle site, Pembrokeshire, Wales SA68 0PW

Lawrenny is on a peninsula of the River Cleddau estuary upriver from Milford Haven where it branches off towards the Cresswell and Carew Rivers and is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Lawrenny developed around fishing, boat building and as a staging point for quarried limestone extracted from quarries upriver. In the 1830s there were 422 inhabitants and there was a ferry over the Cresswell River. Racing stables in the village provided Wales’ first and only Grand National winner, Kirklandat Aintree in 1905. Lawrenny alos played a role in the World War II as a base for Supermarine Walrus seaplanes and a training centre, known as HMS Daedalus II, operated by the Fleet Air Arm. There are a number of beautful walks such as the scenic circular walk takes you through the steep-sided ancient oak woodland of Lawrenny, overlooking the main Daugleddau River and along the tidal creeks of Garron Pill and the Cresswell River. This is a great walk to do in any season and takes you past The Lawrenny Arms Pub and The Quayside Cafe.

Nearest train station: Narberth. Check in 3PM / Check out 11AM.

The Kitchen at Shambala is the heart of the place. Bring on that vegan butter (those who know you know) !! Vegan and gluten-free, mostly organic ingredients, recipes inspired by the Indian Ayurvedic health tradition, high quality healthy oils, sweets served every other day, home baked bread served every other day (my fav), right food combination to ensure optimum protein intake, we focus on easily digestible beans and legumes, abundance of digestive spices, use of healthy fats, o sugars or artificial sweeteners. Dreamy.

Stay in the luxury geodomes. Each dome is fully insulated and has its own wood burner, kitchen, bathroom, and hot tub. Those green-fingered among you will also love the potting shed garden in the grounds of your dome; you’ll find some herbs for supper, and fun to be had in replenishing for the next guests. This is all about switching off. We’re huge fans of getting back to some of life’s basics: fresh air, good company, relaxation, restoration. Here feels a million miles from hustle and bustle. There’s space and time. Rivers, walks, camp fires. It’s the safe outdoors that we all need. P.S. The domes come with wifi and smart TVs because these things just make life easier sometimes. Whether you use them or not is up to you!
