An Introduction to Herbalism: Plants for Anxiety

about this event

Anxiety — it’s 2019, and it seems we all have it to some varying degree.

And while self-help regimens of yoga, meditation, and breathwork can help, herbal allies can make a world of difference when it comes to supporting our mental and physical well-being.

In this virtual workshop, Lauren Hayes of Wooden Spoon Herbs will share her knowledge of plants and herbs and how these earthy ingredients can be utilized on the reg for more balanced, healthy lives. Drawing from her near-decade of experience, Lauren will teach us about the plants that have been used for millennia to aid in stress and anxiety reduction, and how we can bring that into a modern context

About the Practitioner:

Lauren Haynes, clinical herbalist and founder of Wooden Spoon Herbs, is deeply rooted in the southern Appalachian Mountains, where she is inspired by the incredibly rich biodiversity and slow mountain living. Lauren’s family has been in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains for over five generations, through Wooden Spoon she offers respect to both her lineage and the indigenous Creek and Cherokee inhabitants of the land.

This is a virtual workshop — attendees will be able to ask questions in real time and get feedback from Lauren.

Can’t make the virtual event live broadcast? No biggie. All attendees will receive an audio and video of the workshop digitally.
