Kauai is one of the wettest spots on Earth with its womb, Mount Waialeale. The island is described in the Tibetan scriptures as the birthing portal for the planet. This suggests that wherever a baby is born on the earth, its soul enters through Kauai. It has long been recognized as The Motherland, her waters feeding all the Hawaiian islands as well as the entire Pacific rim through an extensive network of lava tubes. Kauai is known for her legendary abundant heart. It is said that Pele, the Hawaiian volcanic creator goddess, fell in love at a festival on Kauai with the island's chief, Lohiau. This intimacy is felt in the wild landscape that spills onto the many pristine beaches.
Our retreat is set on lush private land, with a gorgeous balinese temple dwelling. Built in a circle, there is a center altar, which we traverse each day as we move between tea, meals, and meditation. Each shared room includes a private bathroom. There is steam room and an outdoor pool for swimming and connecting with the waters. We are a 5-10 minute drive from the ocean.
