“Our most important job, is to keep the land safe and well. Keep the earth well, if the river is unwell, then we are not well, if the land is unwell, then we are not well. Once the land is healed – we are healed” – P McGowan
“Our biggest teacher is the forest (Ngahere), the more one spends time walking among the trees and the forests offerings, the more we learn and connect – by being intimate with nature, we are empowered to heal ourselves and the environment.” -Fleur
When treating ourselves holistically, we look ourselves as whole beings and the patterns that show up in our lives. If we enter the stillness and we look closely, we can see these patterns repeated in plants - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. If we take the time to listen and build relationships with the natural medicine around us, the plants have the capacity to assist us in our deepest healing.
The aim of this summer wellness retreat is to connect with our natural surroundings in the magical land in New Zealand (Aotearoa). We will learn how to tune into plants through meditation, wise progression, intuitive wisdom and experience.
We will begin each morning sitting for tea in silence, softening and attuning our senses to open our hearts and ears.
“Tea is a plant teacher, a spirit of Nature, manifested through its Leaf and awakened by hot water. Used in ceremony, it is a dance between the elements, a sensory exploration of presence, where everything is connected by space. It helps us open up to the subtle language of the plants and listen to what nature is always communicating to us. ”
This retreat will be held on 80 acres of beautiful land that is an old pohutakawa forest, with 360 degree views of the ocean. There will be nourishing soul food, song, prayer and lots of learnings about the nature within us and all around us. We will be sleeping under the Aotearoa night sky and gently held by the earth mother (papatuanuku) as we go on a journey of the wild self.
There will be daily swims in the pacific ocean, stories of the land, and teachings on the native plant life.
Join us for a dive into the arms of the earth - held by Fleur and Baelyn.
