ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:
Jared Bistrong is a Miami native with a South Florida heritage that goes back to the mid 1800’s. As a professor of writing, digital storytelling and technology, he has been on the forefront of sound healing exploration for the last 20 years. He makes his own Didgeridoos & Flutes out of palm trees and bamboo and has integrated ancient hand-made instruments into all aspects of his professional, spiritual, and social life as a way of counterbalancing the effects of living a hyper techno existence. His workshops are playful, insightful, interactive and provide a profound vibrational sound experience that invigorates, transforms and energizes participants. He is a certified group sound healer in the Non-Somatic Extraordinary Vessel Healing system and facilitates sound healing workshops throughout the country.
Dr. Shiva Schiff earned his degree as a Chiropractic Physician from the founding school of chiropractic, Palmer College. He specializes in structural correction using gentle adjusting techniques, neuromuscular re-education, physiotherapy, and acupuncture. He is a Non-Somatic Extraordinary Vessel practitioner and uses a unique blend of both Western and Eastern Medicine. Born and raised at Kashi Ashram, Dr. Shiff’s healing path began as a child where he was fortunate enough to be exposed to Priests, Rabbis, Tibetan Monks, Doctors, healers, and Gurus from all over the world. He has traveled extensively around the world and is a black belt in TaeKwonDo, an avid surfer, a certified yoga instructor and he currently practices at NSEV healing and Acupuncture on Miami Beach.
Michelle Berlin began her path of yoga many years ago which transpired into teaching in 2007. After a car accident created multiple spinal injuries, and her doctors told her the only option was major surgery, Michelle began looking for alternative treatments. She decided to take the lead in her own healing, and began studying and practicing Iyengar Yoga and Krama Vinyasa Yoga. Now her body is in great health and her mind is steady.
While in India , she studied at the Iyengar Himalayan Center to learn yoga therapy techniques to work privately with people with injuries. Complementing that avenue of yoga, she has completed several Thai bodywork trainings which she incorporates in her one on one yoga sessions. Her thirst for knowledge in the healing arts lead her to Nepal where she had the opportunity to study with Tibetan Monks and the way they integrate Sound healing into their daily practice.
